Between The Sheets: All Kinds Of Hard (2)

As soon as he walked into his office, Tolu was on edge. He had never lost control like that in a long time. All for a girl…
Yes, she was pretty but what was it about her? ‘No, the question is: what is wrong with you, Tolu? ‘ he thought. He got up from his seat and went back out. He was not a quitter and he wasn’t going to become one today. He needed to go back in there to prove to himself that he had not lost all the control that he had so painstakingly worked on all those years.
He walked in and he sat back down at the same spot. This time, he did not spare a glance at her. He focused on Kola and made mental notes of all that he had to add to the presentation at the end. He was still engrossed, not wanting to miss a thing when he felt a tap on his arm. ‘Sir? Can I use your pen please?‘ She was the one. She had her eyes on him, she was waiting. He slipped out one of his pens from the pocket and he handed it to her. ‘Tolu not Sir’, he said.
Few minutes after she had finished with the pen, the guy beside her turned and said, ‘Amaka, can you please give me your black biro, this blue’s not working well.‘ Tolu hardened his face and pretended to be so involved with the training though he watched her reach into her bag and hand over the pen from the corner of his eye. He didn’t want to seem like he understood what had just happened. The look on her face was one of a person that had been caught red-handed. He almost smiled at it but he caught himself in time. For the rest of the training, she didn’t dare look at him once.
After the training, Tolu and Kola went out for lunch. A normal occurrence after Kola’s trainings since that was all he asked for in payment for his services. Tolu knew that Kola insisted on the free lunches in a bid to take care of him (in his own way). He had always hounded Tolu for neglecting himself and his stomach all in the name of work. Tolu could do anything for Kola that was how much he appreciated his friend. From the outside though, you would never see it. They were both very proud men.
As soon as they sat down to lunch, Kola said ‘That babe… the one in the passport. She’s even prettier in person.’ Tolu said nothing so Kola continued ‘Amaka… was it? The one sitting by your right… You should remember her, man.’ Tolu looked at him and snickered ‘Really? We’re not all like you man. Some of us can actually go through our days without searching out a fine girl.’ Kola laughed ‘Well, yea but this one… there’s something about her. She’s not easily forgettable. She has that kind of face.’ Tolu shook his head ‘Maybe to you.’ and he casually but effectively changed the topic. It was getting more uncomfortable for him by the minute.
Back at work, Tolu was just dealing with the last minute details on the project when his phone buzzed. He picked it up, looked at the text on the screen and put it back down. On a second thought, he picked it up and replied. It was Anita. It had been a while since he had seen her. He had decided that he had no need for her but with what happened at the board room today, maybe he was wrong. His phone buzzed again ‘Passing by. I cld be there in five. Red or white?’ He replied ‘Red.’ That was the summary of their fling… Short texts on chosen nights, talks over glasses of wine and hours of mindless s**. It was almost like a Hollywood movie but not quite.
True to her word, in no less than five minutes, he got a call from the head of security. About three minutes later, she walked in – all 5ft 11” of thickness and sexiness. She had on a buttoned jacket over a short dress. She looked the picture of the professional banker that she was. She turned around, locked the door and took off her jacket. Underneath that jacket was the most inappropriate dress. It left little or nothing to the imagination. He felt a twitch and he knew that he had made the right choice for tonight.
She saw his reaction and she smiled ‘Hi, love.’ She walked forward and planted a big kiss on his lips. He said, ‘Hey. Give me two minutes. I need to round up…’ She immediately wheeled his chair to the empty side of his desk. She turned him around and straddled him. ‘Like I’ll let you leave all this waiting.’ She gestured to her body. Tolu smiled. She kissed him again and when she lifted her face, there was something sad in her eyes. ‘I’ve missed you.’ Tolu said ‘Oh, yea? Says the woman who only just texted after three months.’
She smiled and said ‘That’s how you want it, isn’t it?’ and just like that the look had disappeared as if it was never there. He nodded ‘Works for me just fine.’ She began placing little wet kisses on his neck ‘Did you… miss me?’ ‘Mmmn. I’m not sure yet.’ She bit him ‘Oh, really? Well then, let’s find out…’ She moved her hand down to the one part of him that she could trust and just like she expected, it thumped in greeting. She smiled, ‘Well, well…looks like someone else missed me plenty.’ She stood up and went on her knees before him ‘I’ll just say hi to him then.’ Tolu settled down in his chair with a smile and waited for the waves to begin all the while thinking ‘I love my life.’
